A few hours before the typhoon hit, residents of the coastal area of Cagayan de Oro City were warned and told to flee their homes. their were no sirens and flashing lights to guide the people who were desperately gasping for air for they were already submerge in rampaging waters. it was the dead of the night. Now, in press time an estimated total of damaged property rise to the millions and lives lost were said to be hundreds. the time for "Bayanihan" is necessary, not just to help flood victims but also prevent future disasters. for those who want to help:
